New application and technologies today

Rolltop Computer: 
Advantages: It is such a good portable devices for users, to bring it everywhere they want. All functions and accessories are provided with in the devices such as headphone, power supply or even pen for writing and drawing. Some supported accessories also are provided neatly such as speaker or webcam that make usages easier for users. Moreover, it supports various targeted customers, who use for entertainment, graphic design or even for business.

Disadvantages: It is such a fragile devices that easily to get broken and damages because people do not carefully take it everywhere. It may hit something around that cause to some uncompleted functions of device. Due to advanced technologies and its convenient, the price is quite high if compare with normal portable devices as laptop or PC computer today.

Project Glasses by Google
Advantages: It totally supports people lives more convenient with applications and functions of glasses. It would support people to have organized plan for their future and make everything done easier than in the early. People do not need to complete everything with complicated ways, they can talk or ask technologies to do for them. In addition, it also guides people what to do, where to do and how to do with daily lives situation around them.

Disadvantages: It is kind of attractive sight of users, it is easily make people loss of attention to people or situation around them that is sometime not nice for them or sometime it may bring some accidents to user while they are using and focusing on what they see from glasses.

The dashboard usage

From the acrticle of Account Activity tracker by google, I extremely agree with new service that they launched more conviniences for customers. In my opinion, allowing users are able to link all accounts under one google account, it really makes every usages easier. As my example, when I have logged in to google account, I do not need to log in again on youtube if I prefer to listen to music or look for some videos. It also reduces working duplication. Moreover, their tracker also monitor what I did searching in last month as records, it sometimes better for me to looking for when time has passed because I am able to retrieve it whenever I want and they also allow me to manage my account by myself, so whatever in my history I am allowed to delete it whenever I want also. However, another benefit is log-in location, wherever I have been and logged in to my account, it is better to monitor in case that the place which I have never been before and it is shown in the record. I also recognize to some securities of my account and then I can reslove it by changing password before it becomes some thiefs. Therefore, all of services are provided by google, I clearly see and get the benefits of them.

There are 3 examples of business that used QR Code as business tools,

First, SF Cinema (Thailand), which is movie theatre. It offers customer QR code for checking out all movie showtimes, in specific location that customers are allowed to select wherever they want. There are not only current movies that are available but there are also next available showtimes of movies in the period of 2 weeks in advance that would show customer which movie is going to be released. Moreover, they also allow customers to watch trailers of all movies in HD quality. Some of them are provided with both Thai and English subtitles, it depends on the movies availabilities. However, the company focuses on the customer services that allow customers give them feedbacks to improve their services, they also allow customers to get involve with many activities by providing the application form for membership.

Second, Appalachian Popular Programming Society at Appalachian State University, which is organization for student activities. These QR code will taking users to web page of APPS organization. They provide list of upcoming events that would be taken on the campus so it actually convinces all students to join in the activities. The informations are provided in detial of  activities such as descriptions, places, times and prices(if it is required any entrance payment). 

Last, library service for international students, there are useful information for all international students for living at Appalachian State University such as local news and information or even in travel information. They also provide the library services when students need help to find the books and researches, they can search out on this website. Addition, they could look up for international medias that have been provided in many languages as English, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese or even in Spanish that allow all students have a good opportunity to learn more skills in languages. Moreover, students can improve their English skills through English learning resources, there are provided with the list of books that give students benefits to improve their skills. However, international students can reach more information about the library, either floor-plans of library or humanities librarian which are provided with contact information. So students are encouraged to get all services which is helping them to improve their studies and course works when they are living in the university.

Technologies tools affect to chapter of businesses today

In my opinion, new techniques are playing major roles in chapter of business tools today.

For example, Blogs, Wikis, Twitter even Tagxedo or Voki, they are useful tools to create easier communication way for everyone all over the world. 

It is a two-ways communication that allow users are able to respond companies services immediately and it also allows both parties to share medias or information through networks. It is not only easy for both parties to communicate with each other but it also  supports the company can spread out the information in various methods to various kind of customers. It is kind of supporting the communication ways that allow the company can come closer to customers needs easily and know how to respond their need exactly as soon as possible. For example, a company creates blog for customer service like sharing information for its customers and allows them to contact with company via a blog. It is another way that allows serving the services to customers rapidly because it is online tool that allows both parties can communicate or exchange information in the easier way.

Moreover, all the supported services in the above, they allow the companies can use it as tools in the cheapest way. They do not need to be paid for any fee so many companies prefer to use them more in nowadays. Although, some tools may need some paid for high capacities to perform in business way but it is much cheaper than other tools as advertisement on TV program or on billboards.

Therefore,  Blogs, Wikis, Twitter even Tagxedo or Voki should be another choices for company to take some benefits of them. They are allowing all businesses get through easier ways to communicate to all over the world in various ways, cheapest ways and rapidly responding to customers' needs.

Social Changes based on Technologies in Thailand

                Today, technology comes in to play a major role in our daily lives. People have learned how to implement them as well as learned how to take advantage of them.

                 According to statistic of Information and Communication Technologies in Thailand 2009, by United Nation Organization, it shows people aged 6 and over have spent more times with Internet usage. All ranges of aged records are smoothly growing up from year 2004 - 2009. Most of Internet users are living in urban areas and are more females than males. They believe that Internet is very convenient for their daily lives and easily use and take advantage of them. One of the benefits is allowing people all over the world to communicate to each other by software in the cheapest way. It is famous all over the world. In the same time, there are also negative aspects about things people are able to get from Internet usage. Due to easily access to Internet, people who are under 18 years old, (which according to Thai laws, Thailand makes you a minor) are able to see things they should not. They should be monitored by parents or people who are more than 18 years old, but they are not. Then, more crimes are coming to Thai social which some of them have broken the law who are under 18 years old. They are arrested and confess that they learnt how to break the law from the Internet. It also was shocking for many people because they do not think of these disadvantages of Internet. In the following table, you can see the statistic of crimes committed by Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection. It has slightly increased since the Internet usage has grown. It is just going down in last 2 years.

                  Moreover, Thai children are more aggressive with their parents today because of Internet. They can see any example easily by games or even web sites that does not come out legally. Although, it is a legal website, it may be linked to another illegal one as advertisement so it is the easy way to let children access to those inappropriate web sites and take some example from them.
              However, I think the problems are not only in my country. They are easily spread out all over the world but it may affect each place in different ways. The problem should be solved as soon as possible because if it is lost of control by the law, it will affect other areas, like other countries in Asia or more. Although it is still a small problem nowadays, I am sure that it will become bigger problem in the world in very soon.

                 Next, let's talk about labor issues. All professionals in Information Technologies areas still be required for Thai labor market today. Most of poeple have interested in these areas for a long time ago but their skills are not adequate for some parts of technologies. Therefore, there are many people who are interested in Information Technologies areas go to aboard, as United State of America, Japan, Indea, to study. Hence, people who graduated and had some work experiences in those countries will be accepted more in many companies in Thailand. Since I have been here for studying in Computer Information System, I think it is more focused than Thailand. People are more interested to do in Information Technology jobs than Thai People, although it is required for Thai labor market but people still do not want to study more in these areas. Therefore, I think it is a good chance that I 've come to study more in these areas and bring it to support to my job in the future.

Have you ever heard about the world has become flatter nowadays?

I extremely agree with it. 

It doesn't mean that the world has been changed to the new shape.

but we gonna say it is the development of communication over the world 

that technology comes to play a major role.

There are several ways that let people can communicate to each other

- Chat program: People can talk to each other via software for free

it doesn't matter where they are

- Blog: People can share their experiences via the web and it also allows

other people are able to respond to them immediately 

- Online shopping: it allows people come to buy or sell the products to all over the world

that is no restricted to location of buyers or sellers

They are examples of communication way of people around the world today

I think it is really wonderful that everyone can talk or share experiences to each other

that doesn't matter where they are :)
