Today, technology comes in to play a major role in our daily lives. People have learned how to implement them as well as learned how to take advantage of them.

According to statistic of Information and Communication Technologies in Thailand 2009, by United Nation Organization, it shows people aged 6 and over have spent more times with Internet usage. All ranges of aged records are smoothly growing up from year 2004 - 2009. Most of Internet users are living in urban areas and are more females than males. They believe that Internet is very convenient for their daily lives and easily use and take advantage of them. One of the benefits is allowing people all over the world to communicate to each other by software in the cheapest way. It is famous all over the world. In the same time, there are also negative aspects about things people are able to get from Internet usage. Due to easily access to Internet, people who are under 18 years old, (which according to Thai laws, Thailand makes you a minor) are able to see things they should not. They should be monitored by parents or people who are more than 18 years old, but they are not. Then, more crimes are coming to Thai social which some of them have broken the law who are under 18 years old. They are arrested and confess that they learnt how to break the law from the Internet. It also was shocking for many people because they do not think of these disadvantages of Internet. In the following table, you can see the statistic of crimes committed by Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection. It has slightly increased since the Internet usage has grown. It is just going down in last 2 years.
Moreover, Thai children are more aggressive with their parents today because of Internet. They can see any example easily by games or even web sites that does not come out legally. Although, it is a legal website, it may be linked to another illegal one as advertisement so it is the easy way to let children access to those inappropriate web sites and take some example from them.
However, I think the problems are not only in my country. They are easily spread out all over the world but it may affect each place in different ways. The problem should be solved as soon as possible because if it is lost of control by the law, it will affect other areas, like other countries in Asia or more. Although it is still a small problem nowadays, I am sure that it will become bigger problem in the world in very soon.
Next, let's talk about labor issues. All professionals in Information Technologies areas still be required for Thai labor market today. Most of poeple have interested in these areas for a long time ago but their skills are not adequate for some parts of technologies. Therefore, there are many people who are interested in Information Technologies areas go to aboard, as United State of America, Japan, Indea, to study. Hence, people who graduated and had some work experiences in those countries will be accepted more in many companies in Thailand. Since I have been here for studying in Computer Information System, I think it is more focused than Thailand. People are more interested to do in Information Technology jobs than Thai People, although it is required for Thai labor market but people still do not want to study more in these areas. Therefore, I think it is a good chance that I 've come to study more in these areas and bring it to support to my job in the future.
